Reactive Emulsifiers for Emulsion Polymerization

Reactive Emulsifiers for Emulsion Polymerization

For an emulsion producer, the emulsifier package decides latex stability, particle size, grit level — and increasingly, water resistance of the final film. Reactive emulsifiers that copolymerize into the particle eliminate surfactant migration, which is why they are replacing conventional types in premium exterior and adhesive latexes. Xiangrun supplies both generations: imported reactive grades and conventional workhorses.

We also supply functional monomers and chain-transfer packages — if you share your monomer composition and target particle size, our lab suggests a complete emulsifier system, not just a product name.

Why Formulators Buy From Xiangrun

  • Originals and equivalents under one roof: we distribute imported grades from ADEKA, Asahi Kasei, Clariant, Wacker, Croda, Evonik and PUCORE — and manufacture our own X-series / L-series equivalents when you need the same performance at a better cost.
  • Free samples, freight collect: tell us your system and benchmark — the sample is free, shipped collect on your DHL/FedEx account, and most reach Europe within a week.
  • Technical answers, not sales talk: our lab replies with starting-point dosages and compatibility notes for your specific formulation.
  • Consistent supply: batch-to-batch COA, flexible MOQ from one drum, and export documentation handled for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What dosage of reactive emulsifier is typical?

Commonly 1-3% on monomer, replacing conventional emulsifier 1:1 as a starting point, then optimizing particle size against grit. We provide a starting recipe with every sample.

Do reactive emulsifiers work in all monomer systems?

They perform best in acrylic and styrene-acrylic systems. For vinyl acetate copolymers, grade selection matters more – tell us your composition and we will recommend accordingly.

Can we get the imported original and your equivalent side by side?

Yes – that is the most common sampling request. We ship both so your lab can run the comparison directly.

How stable is your supply for imported grades?

We hold stock of ADEKA, Croda and other imported lines in China and can commit to scheduled monthly deliveries with batch COA.
